Best Sand Castle Art

For anyone who is into the art of sand castles and how they are made, we all know that using an empty coffee cup, your hands and maybe ( if you can find one) a stick is maybe not the worlds best way to design and create awesome  best sand castle art – although I highly recommend that you never tell that to a kid or even adult who is into just having fun!

For the professional sand castle maker then your thinking has to be totally different and you learn quickly that you need special tools to create beautiful sand castle art.

For example you will need tools such as:

The garden shovel –  you need to carve out the form you know

The leveling tool –   to level the sand and  apparently to stop the  un- levelling of the  sculptures  or else they may fall apart

The water spray bottle – you can’t have the sand sculpture getting too dry you know!

The Work or Safety Gloves! Yes indeed these are needed when you are shoveling for hours on end and when you are in a competition then every second counts and slowing down because of blisters is not an option.

The Melon Baller or Teaspoon – These kitchen utensils can make hollows and bowls in the sand, or they can be used to add round balls for features such as the eyes of an animal or the buttons on a shirt.

The Barber’s Brush – erases unwanted carvings and smooths surfaces.

The Balloon Pump – This is an essential tool not to mentions an energy saver for fast-working sand sculptors. They use it with surgical tubing to blow away loose sand.

Of course there are other such tools as the garden rake, paint brushes and yes indeed surgical tubing is a useful and to many a needed implement to help create the best sand castle art you can possibly imagine!

Considering that Summer is not far away and in fact for many people in different countries it would seem that summer is already here, I thought if would be fun to share some of the best sand castle art I have seen in many years.

I would truly like to thank the Greater Vancouver Parks for sharing the different world championship sand sculptures from years ago..unfortunately this sand castle art is not long held anymore ( and why not?)

I guess we will just have to keep on making our sand art the only way we know how :-)

If you have any sand art castles or sculputres you would like to share, I know everyone would truly enjoy them
