First Things First
There are many things to consider before starting an
internet Business.
First you must decide and the key word here is “decide”. Yes
you must make a decision!
You must decide exactly what kind of business you want to
start. Do you want to provide your own product or service or become an
affiliate of someone else’s product or service? There are Pro’s and Con’s when
it comes to starting and running a business online no matter which you choose.
One thing that both have in common is this…
YOU MUST BE IN FULL CONTROL!
If you do not set up your Business where you are in Full
Control you have already created a stumbling block that is hard to over come. Even if you decide to become an Affiliate of
a product and service already established.
Most Affiliate programs offer you a website that you can use
to sell that product or service. So, when joining that program you can
instantly start promoting it without having to wait. In most cases you have no control over the
content and very little personalization other than your name and or Affiliate
ID. This does not put you in FULL
CONTROL!
So in this first message I would like to touch base on what
you need to put yourself in FULL Control of your Business.
1. You
must have your own Domain and Website.
There is no exception to this rule. It does not matter if you are an affiliate of
a company that provides you with a replicated website. You still need your own Domain and Website to
be in CONTROL!
2. You
must have a System in place that allows you to collect and make contact with
your website visitors.
There is no exception to this rule either. If you do not have a system that will allow
you to collect and contact your visitors you are not in CONTROL!
The terms used to describe collecting visitor information is
“Lead Capture”, or “List building”. The
system that runs this is an Autoresponder.
