 Just shy of a month ago, I apparently filled out a form and took advantage of a $1 trial offer. I created a subfolder in my inbox and stuffed the resulting links to videos and other email messages in there. "Someday, when I have time...."

I came across a new site today that really impressed me! It's a Web 2.0-based membership site that is free to join - NOT a Ning community site or anything like that, but rather a really snazzy-looking membership site for those who are thinking of joining a program, either as an income-generating opportunity or for the purpose of promoting a program or opportunity.

You guys know how interested I am in saving money! I found a website today that offers its members cash back on online purchases at hundreds of well-known stores, and even in local stores in your neighborhood.

I've been using my
Genie this morning to search for the best buys on boys jeans for my grandsons for back-to-school. I usually use Google for searches, but this morning, I wanted to see how the Genie behaved with other search engines. I went to MSN.com. I put "boys jeans" into the search field, and, of course, it brought up a bunch of links to stores that sell boys jeans. My Shopping Genie popped up and told me that there are currently 5310 listings on eBay for boys jeans and showed me thumbnails of the photos the sellers have put in their listings.
I only need to hover over the thumbnails for a slightly larger thumbnail to appear, and along with that, some information about the product, size, for example, and often brand name. When I find one I'm interested in, I can click to get seller and pricing information. I can move on to another, or I can click to go to the eBay page directly.
I did discover, though, that if I leave that original search results page, say, for example, to look at an item listed in the search results, even if I open it in a new tab and go to that tab, My Shopping Genie disappears. I can return to the search results page and it reappears, but starts all over. So I still have a bit of learning to do as to how to use it most effectively. I do wish it would stay open!
So my suggestion would be to do your prowling on the links from the search page first. Jot down pricing or any other info you're interested in, THEN return to the search results page, Genie pops up and loads the results. In my case above, it had 25 pages of listings to show me! I could have browsed through ALL of them with only a few clicks and a lot of "hovers" and learned in seconds what it would have taken me many minutes to learn if I'd gone directly to the eBay site. This is really great if you're on dial-up. When we first moved here, we were on dial-up for a while before we had a cable Internet connection installed, and it took forever to move from listing to listing on eBay. With the Shopping Genie, you can cover a lot of territory in seconds, not having to wait for pages to load. Then just click on the listings you're seriously interested in. I can see a BIG ADVANTAGE for Internet dial-up users!

I've been playing with
My Shopping Genie and I can't believe how fun it is to use. I'll be starting my online search for the best buys for back to school items soon, and this will really help me save money.
It shows me items on eBay that match search terms I put into Google. I can compare products and prices I find through links in the Google search results with products and prices offered by sellers on eBay, without ever having to go to eBay until I'm ready to bid. I have been a member of several website programs for some time now. Each gives me material that I can resell. My hard drive is stuffed with material waiting for me to rebrand or edit it.
